Jim's solo show is a guitar & vocals one-man-band style performance featuring a very diverse collection of music. The selection of songs is directly influenced by his unique warm & earthy vocal that leans heavily towards the baritone range. There’s melodic soft-rock, nostalgic crooner hits, gritty rhythm & blues, rock & roll, plus a touch of country, island, alternative, and other genres in an eclectic and entertaining mixture of fun, feel-good music.
Jim’s six-string skills draw a lot of attention, and his guitar is always active, out front, and commanding the audible & visual focus of the music. There are always three guitars featured to support the big variety of styles & sounds - a traditional acoustic, a Stratocaster electric, and a mini “headless” electric that generates a lot of curious attention. And while self-produced backing tracks add an expanded sound & feel to many songs, he also includes an assortment of unaccompanied, pure-acoustic numbers in his set as well.
A true entertainer, Jim feels the music, projects the vibe, and connects with people. Calling himself, “nothing short of a hotdog, hambone, court jester", he’s known for consistently putting on an energetic, fun, and uniquely entertaining show. Jim currently performs at clubs, wineries, and special events in NE Ohio and Western PA.
