ACOUSTELECTRIC – A mixture of classic and contemporary popular music performed with a variety of acoustic and electric guitars.  The guitar playing is very much center stage and at times downright crafty (if I may be so bold).  With the addition of a solid, earthy vocal style, and an energetic performance, I deliver what audiences have come to know as a real audiovisual entertainment experience.

A large part of my show is what is typically referred to as a "one man band".  Using self-produced backing tracks allows me to do some of the music I love to perform in true to form fashion.  A very important factor for me about this approach is to keep the tracks simple; mostly just drums and bass. It's more fun, satisfying, and entertaining to work the guitar, keeping the audible focus of attention very live and visual.  It's really quite rewarding on how many people in the audience pick up on this and have a true appreciation for the musicianship.

There are exceptions to my backing track restrictions. For example, you can usually hear steel drums in the background on many Buffett songs.  It's really about achieving a balance and having the vocal and musical stage presence that brings the audience in and keeps them entertained.

I also mix in a dose of pure acoustic guitar into any given performance.  I've got a nice catalog of music by James Taylor, John Mayer, and other adult soft rock artists.  I also perform at lounges, coffee houses, and receptions where light and easy is the preferred style.  Getting a feel for the venue and it's audience, and then dealing out selections from my song list that fit the bill is something I've been quite successful at.

The music comes from many eras of popular music.  Hoping not to sound too presumptuous, the mixture of styles and instruments keeps things interesting.  There really is something for everyone.  I also perform my own originals from time to time, and I've received a great response on those songs.  There's more in the oven and CD release not too far off in the future.

My little red "headless" design guitar gets a lot of curious attention.   Believe me, it's a real musical instrument that's versatile, good sounding, and fun to play.
