After obtaining a computer programming degree
from Kent State in 1988, I began working with a company that contracted
out various computer related services, almost exclusively to Packard
Electric in Warren. During this interim, the opportunity
presented itself to step into the role of industrial video producer.
Having experience in audio production, I began educating
myself in the craft of producing training videos and technology
showcase presentations. Camera work, digital graphics creation,
script writing, voice-overs, plus video editing were all capabilities
that came natural to me, thus suiting me quite well for the one-man
project studio environment.
During this time, shoot-off projects from the
videos also gave me experience with printed publishing and computer
presentation applications including Power Point, HTML, and Visual
Basic.
I have been working with digital video acquisition
and editing from the very early stages of their developments and
am experienced with digital nonlinear applications. The
Adobe line of products in a Windows environment are the tools
that I am most familiar with.
I also produce original soundtrack music using
Cakewalk Pro Audio 8 and have used Sound Forge quite extensively
to edit and add treatments to digital audio material.
"My most important attribute is the ability
to tell a story. I have a natural aptitude for analyzing either a thought or mechanical process and conveying that information
through creative design and production."
